Hi Ann,

it seems that both "dans le centre-ville" and "au centre-ville" are correct. I cannot find any difference in meaning between them, either.

 I Think "au centre ville" is correct  Its like ( au= à le ) literally means "at the".....and "dans la"  mean "in the" which refers to be inside of something

Totally agree the au centre should be accepted
