How does one say "You hurt your finger" versus "Your finger hurts"?

Hi Kanne,

I would add to what Chris has already said -

Je me suis fait mal au doigt = I have hurt my finger

Mon doigt me fait mal = My finger hurts

or talking to someone else -

Tu t'es fait mal au doigt ? = Have you hurt your finger?

Ton doigt te fait mal ? = Does your finger hurt?

Here are some example sentences:

Vous vous êtes blessé au doigt. -- You hurt your finger.
Vous avez mal à doigt. -- You have a sore finger.
Le doigt vous fait mal. -- Your finger hurts.
