"I don't know what to say."

"I don't know what to say."

This exercise only accepts "Je ne sais pas quoi dire" as translation, but I just wanted to confirm that "Je ne sais que dire" is also correct, or is there some difference in meaning between the two that excludes the latter?

Hi Jeuri,

No, there is no difference in meaning between the two expressions.

It is just a question of register -

Je ne sais que dire

is a more elevated language ( language soutenu)

than the more familiar -

je ne sais pas quoi dire

Bonne Continuation!

I have just seen that quoi must be used when it is followed by an infinitive.

"I don't know what to say."
