Hello.i didnt undrstand why he didn't use -de km - for the first sentence below

How far is it from here to your home -il y a combien d'ici a chez toi

How far is it from Paris to Lyon -il y a combien de km de Paris a Lyon

I cannot find these examples in the Kwiziq lesson but just to say that (de km) is implied in your first example which is very common in French.

The question does not specify units.. could be yards, miles or hours.. more an example of how to use il y a into what looks an open question... think for that,  I would have used A qu'elle distance.. but that does not help with il y a.. you will find a lot of examples that don't really make sense out of context but are just showing something about the lesson.
