Why is it "Elle fait exprès d'être en retard." and not "Elle a fait exprès d'être en retard.

Bonjour Meggie,

"Elle fait exprès d'etre en retard" is in Le Présent and not Le Passé Composé (like the other sentences). ;-)

Elle fait exprès d'être en retard = She is late on purpose

Elle a fait exprès d'être en retard = She was late on purpose
