It fits fine, as would «accepter». It is frustrating sometimes when you use a translation you think or know is correct that is not listed. However there are too many options in many cases for all to be listed, and these are self-marked so if you're sure, give yourself 5. If unsure, check reference material - Larousse and Robert have good free dictionaries on line - much more reliable than Google/DL for word definitions, or ask. (My wife is French and an accredited translator, so I have a distinct advantage compared to many. Even so there are often many different answers as translation always has a subjective component). There is a loose guidance in translation to try to avoid the use of the most similar word as a way of minimising risk of using a faux ami. These exercises are also developed with the additional worthy aim of expanding our scope of vocabulary and I think sometimes this may impact the listed responses.
