Lui versus l’
Je ________ ai appris que la France a aboli l'esclavage en 1848.
This question relates to:French lesson "Using lui/leur = him or her/them (French Indirect Object Pronouns)"

Hi Xiaohan,
The indirect pronoun 'lui' is never 'elided' before a vowel.
Furthermore, 'le' or l' would make it a direct pronoun and would be wrong.
Bonne Continuation !
