In the above question, the answer in the test shows “lui” but shouldn’t it be l’ since the verb starts with vowel?

Hi Xiaohan,
The indirect pronoun 'lui' is never 'elided' before a vowel.
Furthermore, 'le' or l' would make it a direct pronoun and would be wrong.
