Not a single friend
"if I wanted to say he has no friends I would write il n'a aucun ami. In english he has no friends is a little different form He hasn't a single friend, that is why I did not use aucun. how in french can one stress not a single friend because their is a difference in english"

Bonjour Sue !
In French, to say "not a single friend", you would use "pas un seul ami / pas une seule amie".
Bonne journée !

I think that is what I put as a translation of he hasn't a single friend. It was marked wrong with the answer il n'a aucun ami.

The alternative option is now marked correct as well :)
Merci !
