Malheureusement, dans ce cas-ci, il n'y a pas d'autre solution que de mémoriser les terminaisons de ce verbe.
As Laurel pointed out, it's the conjugation of the verb "pouvoir". And, the only solution is to learn the endings by heart.
Conjugation of Pouvoir = To be able to, can

Je peux, tu peux, il\elle peut, nous pouvons, vous pouvez, ils/elles peuvent...c'est la conjugaison au présent.
