Pronunciation question
Hi, For the last phrase, "de votre aide", aide is pronounced as 2 syllables, as if it has an accent aigue on the final e. Please explain why this is so.
Asked 3 years ago
Hi Tom,
I have listened to the exercise and I agree with Chris that you clearly hear -
de/votr/ aid
three syllables and not aidé as you suggest.
Bonne Continuation!

I don't hear anything special. Because of the -de ending in aide, the "d" is pronounced. That's just as, e.g., in petite, the "t" is pronounced. That's all.
