Punctuation: comma after the object

Hi All,I've noticed the comma is used after the object in half of the examples given. Does it matter at all or this is volontaire?Merci en avance

In French, the role of the commas with relative clauses is to express that the information in the clause is not essential to the meaning of the sentence. Basically, the relative clause can be “removed”.
However, when there aren’t any commas, it means that the information in the clause is essential to the meaning of the sentence.

Les enfants, qui ont reçu un certificat, étaient contents = the children, who received a certificate, were happy.
→ all the children were happy
 
Les enfants qui ont reçu un certificat étaient contents = the children who received a certificate were happy
→ only the children with a certificate were happy
