Qu'est-ce qu'ils allaient s'ennuyer
Qu'est-ce qu'ils allaient s'ennuyer is not a question? Do you have a lesson on that? Thank you.
This question relates to:French lesson "J'allais + [infinitive] to express the near future (Le Futur Proche) in the imperfect in French"

Bonjour Dzoan !
We don't have a lesson on this yet, but here's an explanation :)
Qu'est-ce que or Comme can both be used to introduce exclamative sentences such as "How bored were they going to get!" or "How nice are you!":
Comme tu es gentil!
Qu'est-ce que tu es gentil!
Here's a link to a related lesson on how to express exclamations with "What a...!":

I’m really late to the party here (by four years) but in UK English "How bored were they going to get" and "How nice are you" sound quite odd as statements. I think you’d use that subject-noun inversion more often for a question and for an exclamation, it’d be non-inverted "How bored they were..!" "How nice you are!"
