Question about sentence.

J'adorerais que l'on puisse se téléporter - in this sentence, why are we using 'l'' with 'l'on'? is that just to make it easier to speak? or does it have meaning? and if so how do I know when to use it?

Hi James,

Just to add to what Maarten said here is an answer to a similar question -

Hope it helps!

My answer to a similar question from Martin yesterday (Apologies, I can’t seem to get direct links to previously answered questions to work for me ):

It is 'euphonic'. Despite this, it is rarely used in everyday speech, although it remains in use in some more formal speech, and is still reasonably regularly seen in writing, from news articles to more formal material.

See link : https://www.lawlessfrench.com/grammar/on-vs-lon/.

Céline’s answer too :

Bonjour Martin,

Maarten is correct! Follow the link here for a bit more details: Why the l in front of on in last sentence

I hope this is helpful.

Bonne journée !
