Why isn't "rendre fier" correct?
Hi Aki,
You wouldn’t use ‘rendre fier’ here, as it is used for people .
You could say -
Ça me rend fier d’être française = It makes me proud to be French
Mes enfants me rendent fière d’être leur mère = My children make me proud to be their mother
Hope this helps!
There are many possible ways to translate a certain phrase. It is impossible to check for them all. That's why it is a self grading exercise. Part of the learning happens by examining the given answer and contrasting yours to it. Just because your answer is different from the suggest one doesn't mean yours is incorrect.
