Qui vs Que

Could someone tell me please why/when to use que rather than qui (and vice versa)

Hi Conrad,

There is no easy answer to bypass studying relative pronouns in French.

There are some useful rules of thumb that say that 'qui' will be normally followed by a verb and 'que' by a pronoun before the verb but there are some exceptions to that rule that will need to be addressed.
