savoir la réponse ou connaître la réponse

Question

In an earlier quiz the correct answer was Je sais la réponse, but in this multiple choice question they use connaître for all choices. Are both correct?

Let's look at this definition from Aurélie:
Savoir is usually followed by a clause with a conjugated verb (know where he goes, what I'm doing ...) or an infinitive (know [how] to do something):
-> Ils savent à quelle heure le magasin ferme.   (They know at what time the shop closes.)
Connaître is followed by a noun (know ):
-> Ils connaissent l'horaire de fermeture du magasin.  (They know the shop closing time.)
Using this differentiation as the examples, connaître would be the correct response.  However, if the question read «I know how to respond» then savoir would be the correct response.
