spoken final "e"

spoken final "e"

In the expression above--Elle marche plus lentement que moi--the speaker pronounces the "e"  of "marche," which is to be silent. Can you please explain this?

Hi Melody,

I have changed the audio but in the case of 'marche' it is difficult to sound the 'sh' sound without dragging it a bit but you are right in thinking that the 'e' is mute at the end.

I hope this helps!
