Syntax question - a répondu Bastien

I wrote “Bastien a répondu”. Is this incorrect? I can’t find any lessons on word order related to this part of the challenge. Thanks

Bonjour Tiffany,

In French, when you have a dialogue (in a novel for example) such as in this exercise, you will always write the verb before the subject/subject pronoun:

"Il faut que j'aille voir Maman." a répondu Bastien. = "You must go and see Mum [US: Mom]." Bastien replied.
