Temp vs fois

Both mean time.   Are their rules as to when to use each?

‘fois’ refers to an event / an occasion either happening once or several times (quantifiable – rather specific)

Il était une fois = once upon a time
Cette fois = this time
c’est la dernière fois = this is the last time
Il m’a appelé trois fois = he called me three times
Une fois qu’il l’aura fait, tu m’appelleras = once he has done it, you will call me

‘temps’ refers to ‘time’ (not so measurable – general) (or the weather) as below:

De temps en temps = from time to time
Je n’ai pas le temps = I don’t have the time
C’était le bon vieux temps = it was the good old days
Les temps changent = times change
Quel temps fait-il ? = what is the weather like?
