You can express 'what is something? in four different ways -
Qu'est-ce que la Sorbonne?
Qu'est-ce que c'est la Sorbonne ?
Qu'est-ce que c'est que la Sorbonne?
C'est quoi la Sorbonne?
The last two would be used in every day speech.
If your correct answer wasn't accepted it is probably a problem in the specific quiz, will let Aurélie know...
I’m wondering that also, Adrienne. Surely that is also correct? That is what is stated in the lesson. I would normally add the “que”, but I’m not sure it’s absolutely necessary
