third person singular

third person singular

should be  he/she/one has fun then we/people have fun

It would be she has fun or he has fun one has fun.. why is that not shown. Also seems so insane not to use of the verb to have avoir ??? alas just what is.

Hi Sarah,

I think I get what you mean -

You are referring to the third person singular conjugation of the verb s'amuser in the body of the lesson which is displayed as -

il/elle/on s'amuse       he/she/we/one/people have fun

It could have been written -

Il s'amuse  ----> He has fun

Elle s'amuse -----> She has fun

On s'amuse -----> We/people have fun

Hope this clears the matter ?

I'm not quite sure what you mean. On s'amuse can also mean "people (in general) have fun". So that's OK.

S'amuser is a reflexive construction and therefore always uses être as auxiliary verb, never avoir.
