Would it have been also OK to say "Je manque à ma douche chaude"?

Bonjour Daniel,
I you say "je manque à ma douche chaude", it sounds as if the hot shower is alive (i.e. it's considered a living thing).
To say, "I miss [something]", you will use the following pattern:
[quelque chose] me manque
Ma douche chaude me manque = I miss my hot shower
Mon lit me manque = I am missing my bed
Ma maison me manque = I am missing my home
