Tu le fais exprès !
Bonjour Raymond,
Jim is correct! Since the action is perceived as ongoing at the moment of speech, Le Présent de l'Indicatif is used to convey immediacy. Therefore, Fifi is reacting to something happening in the moment.
If you had Le Passé Composé ("Tu l'as fait exprès !"), it would be referring to an action that happened (much) earlier and already completed.
I hope this is helpful.
Bonne journée !
Bonjour Raymond,
"Anna and Fifi are having a heated argument."
Above is the headline introduction to the exercise. It is written as a current activity that sets out what seems to be the theme, although I haven't carried out the exercise.
Hope this is helpful
Bonne journée
Jim
