The speech on this recording is very unclear. I really struggled to make out the words, even after listening to each phrase multiple times.

We definitely agree with you all: both speed and vocabulary are a higher level than B1. It has now been moved to B2 level.

Patrick, it might be a technical issue. The speech is quite clear to me.
Some vocabulary and references are not familiar, but that is a different matter. Not sure it should stay at B1 level, rather than move to B2, but the recording itself sounds fine.

Second Maarten's observation. The recording is clear. Whether it is B1 or B2 I can't decide.

@maarten @chris thanks for your responses. I asked a friend who is a native speaker to listen to it, and she agreed that it was comprehensible, but also doubted that it was B1. There are a numer of words I have never heard before, and the pace is rather rapid.
