Use of accent marks over letters

Question

Hi, do you have a lesson/primer on the various accent marks used over letters, including how they are pronounced and when to use them? I have tried several searches on the site and cannot find it.

I find this topic confusing, and it trips me up in the lessons.

Thanks for the response, Jim. This is helpful. However, for the record, I did do several searches in different parts of the platform and came up with nothing helpful. Please see below:

I tried multiple permutations of "accent marks" & related terminology & got similar results.
