I thought the future tense should be used after quand or lorsque. So, shouldn't this phrase be, lorsqu'on visitera un nouveau lieu.

Use of future tense
... lorsqu'on visite un nouveau lieu.
This question relates to:French writing exercise "My next holiday [US: vacation]"
Asked 3 years ago
Bonjour Tom,
The use of Le Présent de l’Indicatif is right here. The sentence starts with the adverbial expression ‘comme toujours’ (= ‘as always’) which indicates a habitual action.
Quand / Lorsqu’on visite...= when you visit… (habitual action)
Quand / Lorsqu’on visitera… = when you will visit… (future action)
I hope this is helpful.
Bonne journée !
