You're right that the French word "épaule" is feminine. However, here, it is in its plural form here (see the -s at the en of the word). Therefore, when plural (whether the word is masculine or feminine), you will use "à + les" -> aux
- un genou = a knee (masculine singular):
- une main = a hand (feminine singular):
