Why Il/Elle is not used for McDonald when it is specific
This question relates to:French lesson "Describing things in French with c'est = it is"
Asked 3 weeks ago
Bonjour Kashmira,
Here, the sentence is expressing an opinion referring to a general thing/conceptrather than referring to a specific item/object/thing.
Le McDo de Paris? Il est super ! = Paris' McDonald's? It is great!
Le McDo, c'est bon pour les dimanches soirs paresseux ! = McDonald's, it's good for lazy Sunday evenings!
Take a look here:
"C'est" vs "Il/Elle est" to say it is/she is/he is in French
I hope this is helpful.
Bonne journée !
