Why ‘ tu ne semblais pas pressé...’ why is pressé not in the infinitive, ´presser’?

I am just wondering why ´pressé is not in the infinitive after ´tu ne semblais pas pressé’?

Hi Dori,

It is because it is not the verb required here but the adjective -

pressé = in a hurry

It could have been -

Tu ne semblais pas inquiet / heureux = You didn’t seem worried/ happy
