When should we use "y" and when should we use là for places

Bonjour Shashank,

In French, "y" refers back to a previously mentioned place: here, it refers to the mountains.

J'aime la montagne. J'y vais tous les hivers. = I love the mountain. I go there every winter.

However, "là" refers to a rather vague place ("there" or "here", depending on context):

Ne t'inquiète pas ! Je serai là demain.Don't worry! I will be here tomorrow.

Take a look here too:

Y vs là vs là-bas

I hope this is helpful.

Bonne journée !
