Savoir (to know) is an irregular French verb.
Je ne sais pas.I don't know.
Nous savons ce que tu as fait.We know what you did.
When followed by an infinitive, savoir means "to know how to."
Est-ce que tu sais nager ?Do you know how to / Can you swim?
Il ne sait pas conduire.He doesn't know how to / He can't drive.
