savoir / to know

Savoir (to know) is an irregular French verb.

Je ne sais pas.
I don't know.

Nous savons ce que tu as fait.
We know what you did.

When followed by an infinitive, savoir means "to know how to."

Est-ce que tu sais nager ?
Do you know how to / Can you swim?

Il ne sait pas conduire.
He doesn't know how to / He can't drive.
