In a writing challenge - I'll be five minutes at most.

In "I can't find my shirt!" this sentence -I'll be 5 minutes at most.- was translated as - J'en ai pour 5 minutes maximum.-

Can someone explain this translation? Is it an expression? I am not familiar with this construction. My translation was "Je reviens dans cinq minutes au maximum." Would this translation be acceptable?

I obseved that change of the indefinite article to de/d' is in sentences with the verb Avoir. With the exception of Etre does it apply to other verbs?

Could you highlight one line a bit more? "Present nous form" in l'imparfait... I keep forgetting that part.....I have recently become addicted to this site, and I'm filling in all of the gaps in my self learning. One thing has tripped me up more than once... Using the "present nous form" in l'imparfait. I know it's already in bold font, but could you highlight that line in color with stars and big arrows around it?? :P Thanks for a GREAT site!

Malgré tout vs.néanmoins

Puis-je utiliser le mot "néanmoins" au lieu de "malgré tout" dans cette phrase? La phrase est <Nous aurons apprécié ce repas malgré tout>. Est-ce qu'il y a quelque chose en particular avec malgré tout que j'aie peut-être raté? Je pense que vous voulez dire "despite everything".

Is the plus-ques parfait the same as Passé composé?

In the sense that in être verbs, additions such as e, s, es are made when nscessary? For example:

Passé Composé:

Je suis sortie ( I am a girl)

would Plus-que parfait be:

J'étais sortie or J'étais sorti?
