Why is the 'i' in Lancashire and Yorkshire pronounced with an 'ur' sound and not an 'ee' sound?

Is there a rule for using liaison after "mais."I hear the different usages of liaison with "mais" before words beginning with a vowel. In your video "La Bretagne se révèle en Côtes d'Armor" the speaker sometimes uses it and sometimes does not before the same sound, making her difficult to understand. Is it simply facultative or is there more to it. Thanks.

Space or No Space before the Currency SignSalut, I noticed that you have 5,67€ but 66,50 £ and 56,25 $. So no space before € but with space before £ and $? Thanks.

imperfect tenseI am in Canada trying to get my french levels for work and they do not teach or use the french imperfect tense here. How do I skip these types of questions without it impacting my score? Do I simply skip? Will the program keep recommending these areas to study and keep adding them to my tests?

Are "à temps" and "à l'heure" not interchangeable? Bonjour. I used the first one in a quiz to fill in the blank, and it was marked wrong: "Étais-tu ________ (à temps) pour ton rendez-vous? Were you on time for your appointment?" But à temps was used in another quiz: "Il court ________ (pour) arriver au travail à temps. He runs [in order] to get to work on time."

Hers or someone else's catIn the context of this statement one assumes Marie is caressing her own cat yet when put in the passive voice it could read as though the cat belongs to someone else...maybe not a great example
