I would be inclined to say : Ne touche pas au serpent!

Is this wrong?

In the examples, demeurer seems to reverse the être-avoir rule as to which it takes with direct and indirect objects. How come?

"Look" with the sense of "search"In the writing challenge "I can't find my shirt" the transation for the partial sentence " I must not have looked properly" offers several choices but all use "regarder" - e.g. "Je n'ai pas dû regarder proprement". In this context I belive "looked" implies "searched (for it)" rather than "gazed (at it)". In view of that ought not the translation "chercher" to be allowed as an alternative to "regarder"? In fact can "regarder" be used here at all?

But inthe examples, “She is a good swimmer” “It is a pretty dress” &”That is the dress I wear to work” all seem specific why use C’est?I would think it would be il or elle. they just do not seem to be general things. The dress I wear to work is a specific dress

Bonjour. On the test I took "Il y a un Indien et une Indienne, why are they capitalized. I thought nationalities in french were not capitalized.

In this weekend's passé composé test one of the questions is 'I woke up' and the answer is 'je me suis levé ...is that not 'I got up?'"
