Pourqui "funérailles " à place de "funéraire "?
How does one - are we going to the cinema?- My answer was Est ce qu'on va au cinema. the correct answer was on va au cinema. Was it not a question?
There is a glitch in the writing and dictation exercises -- when you finish typing and hit enter (or whatever), it moves directly to the next portion to read/listen to without giving the option to grade it. It's frustrating.
My husband, who is French, is adamant that 'avoir' is not used with apparu. Is it that this is a regional usage (eg Quebec v France or even South of France v Paris where he's from)? Or is it just uncommon? Otherwise, like many a native speaker, he could simply be mistaken!
A little unclear re the use of the above. What is the difference, if any, between the following ?:
J'ai peu d'amis and J'ai quelques amis
I answered "je n'en ai aucun". Is this not correct as well as just "aucun" ? The example that Celine gives below seems to indicate that's an option.
In the 5th segment of the dialogue, the text reads:
"- Je voudrais une boule à la vanille, une boule au chocolat et une boule à la fraise s'il vous plaît."
But the audio says:
" - Je voudrais une boule à la vanille, et(?) une boule au chocolat et une boule à la fraise s'il vous plaît." I'm not sure if that word is actually "et" as it almost sounds like "y a", as though somebody is saying "il y a" too fast.
This is in both the lesson and the end-of-lesson full text.
Is there a logical explanation for why we don't say "rendre visite aux"? For example, we can say "Je rendre visite à mes parents" but we can't say "Je rends visite aux mes parents"?
Est ce que la france va pouvoir gagner la coupe du monde sans Mbape?
