Je suis alle ( mon ordi ne peut pas faire les accents :/ ) a une ecole d'immersion et les profs ont toujours dit le .  Est-ce-que ce terme est acceptable?

The son WAS born in the past?  Why then use "est né" rather that "était né"?

I get a bit confused when, due to the speaker being female, we do/do not add an “e” to the past participle. Here, for instance, I was expecting “vue”.
