All mean more or less the same in English. Are they interchangeable in French or are there subtle differences?
J'ai toujours trouver les problèmes de quand utiliser le passé composé ou l'imparfait.
I'm still having challenges in when to use the passé composé instead of the imparfait and vice versa.
I translated "at the moment" as "en ce moment", rather than "pour le moment". I believe either one is correct, but "en ce moment" is not listed as an alternative. Would it be incorrect to use that formulation in this context?
Please can someone help. I have just had « Il est neuf heures quinze » marked as incorrect, the correct answer being « Il est neuf heures et quart ». I had thought either would be OK. Thanks.
Why is it “on s’était donné...” but “on s’est inquiétés”?
How are the currency signs pronounced? The lesson does not spell out these words and it is very difficult for beginners to make out the words by listening to the recordings. It would be very help if the lesson spell out the currency signs as to how they are pronounced even though these words are not required in this lesson.
One of the correct options used "avant que" without the "ne". I gather this is permissible sometimes?
Yhere is nothing in the context and no hint as to why either answer could or could not be correct.

1. Nous sommes gentils
2. On est gentils
In the second example, why is there “s” on the end of gentils? Should it not be gentil - since “on” is 3rd person singular?
