arroser v. verser un filet (de quelque chose)...is verser un filet less common or preferred? Thanks!

Verser un filet (de vinaigre) means a small amount whereas arroser suggests a larger quantity of liquid.
You would for instance use 'arroser' for when you feed your Christmas cake in Brandy .
