Dans la / Le Vs. En

Why isn’t the answer dans Le?

Me suis__________________ cours de danse

I noted in the quick lesson that it should be dans la if it is specific and en if it is general. Cours de danse seems specific, but I got the answer wrong.

Hi Deborah,

You actually pinned the wrong lesson to your query so it took me a while to find the actual question .

Je suis en cours de danse

is correct and it means that you are having a dance lesson/class rather than just being in the room where the lesson is taking place.

It would then be -

Je suis dans la salle de danse

Take a look at the lesson again -

Hope this helps!

Hi Deborah,

I agree that "Cours de danse" is masculine and should be "Le cours de danse".

Perhaps you should post a possible error report to flag your point up?
