For the case under Farm, will dans only apply on the word farm or also for other places?

Bonjour Chesca,

'dans' is generally used to express 'inside a place'. 

Je suis dans la bibliothèque = I am in(side) the library

Je suis dans un immeuble = I am in(side) the building

Je suis dans la classe = I am in(side) the classroom
