dans vs par
This question relates to:French lesson "Differences between French and English usages - Using "dans" with streets and means of transportation (French Prepositions of Location)"
Asked 1 year ago
Bonjour Abdul,
When you are talking about how you are travelling, then you will use à for "individual" modes of transport (walking, bicycle, bike etc), en for "group" modes of transport (bus, coach, car, subway, etc) or par with planes.
If you are talking about which means of transport you are "on", then you'll use "dans" (as in "inside").
See here: Question regarding En vs Dans
I hope this is helpful.
Bonne journée !

"by plane" (par avion...air mail goes par avion) vs "in a plane" (dans avion)
