I’m just wondering what this was supposed to be, because the video is no longer available. Edit: I reported the example. The exact number seems to change each time the lesson is accessed.

Excellent question! To express "thank you for + [noun]", you can use either "merci de / pour + [nom]".

This might be off-topic, but could you explain to me why you used “de” in your sentence? (“Merci de votre excellente contribution!)

My understanding is that de usually means “from” or “some.” Does it sometimes also mean “for”? Could you use “pour” instead, or would that be incorrect?
