The english is ' until she can do it herself' . 'toute seule' I think translates here as 'on her own'. Should it not be 'elle-meme'?

I see what you mean, Chris. I will flag this up as I would have been tempted to say 'elle-même' given that the English was 'herself' rather than 'on her own'.
You may have to wait a bit, as we're entering a period of 'fêtes' here.
