"Je l'aime bien qu'il soit un peu paresseux."

The correct answer is 'I love him although he is a bit lazy', and not 'I like the fact that he is a bit lazy' but how would the latter answer differ from the example in French?

Bonjour Chris,

In French, "the fact" means "le fait":

J'aime le fait qu'il est/soit un peu paresseux = I like the fact that he is a bit lazy

Take a look here for the use of L'indicatif and Le Subjonctif with "le fait que"

Le fait que Indicative in this context

I hope this is helpful.

Bonne journée !
