and

In French, "peu importe" is better translated by "no matter (what)" or "regarless of". Therefore, in French, "peu importe qui/quand/quoi/où/comment" means "no matter who/when/what/where/how".

Peu importe qui vient, ce sera une belle soirée = No matter who comes, it will be a great evening
Peu importe quand tu arrives = It doesn't matter when you arrive
