Katie is calling Sonia in case she's late.

Katie is calling Sonia in case she's late.

For this Kwiziq question I put: Katie appelle Sonia au cas où elle aurait du retard

It was marked wrong, but I think that should also be accepted? avoir du retard = to be late

Nick

p.s. is it less common to use avoir du retard than être en retard?

Thanks, Nick,

I have found the example in the 'au cas où' lesson.

I see that 'avoir du retard' isn't accepted.

It has now been added as a correct answer.

Bonne Continuation !

Hi Nick,

Could you quote specifically the example you are referring to ?

Nick H.C1 Kwiziq Q&A super contributor

Hi Cécile,

The question was "Katie is calling Sonia in case she's late" and we were asked to fill in the blank for "...in case she's late"

The correct answer was Katie appelle Sonia au cas où elle serait en retard, but I think Katie appelle Sonia au cas où elle aurait du retard should also be accepted.

Thanks

Nick
