I have gotten this same question wrong several times and I still don't know why. "Les mêmes scientifiques". It is an adjective which should agree in number with the plural "scientifiques". Please help Thanks, Patti

Les mêmes scientifiques
Bonjour Patti,
I'm sorry this question is confusing. I went through all the questions from the lesson. The sentence I think you are referring to is using "même" as an adverb (= even). Therefore there is no agreement possible with "scientifiques".
Même mes enfants sont contre moi = Even my children are against me -> adverb
Ce sont les mêmes enfants = These are the same children -> adjective
Mon prof en a même parlé = My teacher even talked about it this morning -> adverb
Le même prof en a parlé = The same teacher talked about it -> adjective
I hope this is helpful.
Bonne journée !
I don't get your question. Do you have trouble understanding why it is mêmes?
