Monter dans, descendre de
This question relates to:French lesson "Monter dans, descendre de = To get on, off transportation in French (prepositions)"
Asked 2 years ago

Hi John,
As already said, it was the 'passé simple' but I have changed it for the 'passé composé equivalent 'sont descendus' which is better suited for a lesson of this level.
Take a peek at the passé simple if you are curious -

Yes, it is passé simple, but appears misplaced in an A2 grammar lesson, without explanation, does it not ? Probably better to stay with imparfait or passé composé. Maybe it could be changed ?
