“N’est ce pas” replaced by “non”?

I learned that “N’est ce pas” is rarely used these days in France.  A simple “non?” is commonly used instead.   Is that false?

Bonjour Suzanne,

You are correct in saying that you can use 'non ?' at the end of a sentence instead of 'n'est-ce-pas ?'

It's a different register, 'non?'  being casual and common in everyday speech to seek confirmation, and 'n'est-ce-pas ?' being more formal and literary.

Bonne Continuation !
